Author Guidelines
Zuba International Journal of Arts and Social Sciences (ZIJASS) welcomes original, unpublished manuscripts that make significant contributions to research and scholarship in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. All submissions are peer reviewed.
Scope of the Journal
The journal publishes conceptual and empirical papers, case studies, reviews and scholarly essays in areas such as Social Studies, Geography, History, Economics, Political Science, Civic Education, Educational Technology, and related disciplines.
Manuscript Preparation
- Manuscripts should be written in clear English, using Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
- Recommended length is between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references.
- Pages should be numbered consecutively, with margins of at least 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Use headings and subheadings in a consistent hierarchy for clarity.
Structure of the Manuscript
A typical paper should contain the following elements:
- Title Page – article title, author(s) full names, institutional affiliation(s).
- Abstract – 150–250 words, with 4–6 keywords.
- Introduction – background, problem statement and objectives.
- Literature Review – relevant theories and previous studies.
- Methodology – design, population, sampling, instruments and analysis.
- Results / Findings.
- Discussion and Conclusion.
- Recommendations (where appropriate).
- References.
Referencing Style
Authors are encouraged to use a consistent referencing style (e.g. APA, latest edition). All in-text citations must appear in the reference list, and all references must be cited in the text.
Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and clearly titled.
- Indicate the source of any adapted data or images.
- Ensure that figures are of sufficient quality for print and online publication.
Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that their work adheres to ethical standards, including informed consent for research participants, confidentiality and proper acknowledgement of funding or institutional support.

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically as Microsoft Word documents through the official journal contact or submission email zijasszuba2025@gmail.com. All articles are accepted in February and June.
By submitting a manuscript to ZIJASS, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
